Monday Mischief: jellybelly’s rage

4/28/2012, Saturday 8:00 a.m. — Big mama reported that the little furball upstairs was howling, scratching and doing some acts of mischief for two hours… that the critter raged with all her might when she realized she missed an early morning road trip (the Saturday Dog Walks with the LDN canines)…

These are the inanimate victims: flip-flops, carton box, broom…and she managed to throw the drinking bowl downstairs (the water mess got cleaned up so no photo to show you)…

"ya left me...so i mounted it and willed it to follow you just like in the Harry Potter movies but it won't budge"- JellyBelly a.k.a Vanilla Bean

When you own a puppy, expect mischief from time to time…it’s natural. If your pet dog doesn’t display some mischievousness, you probably own a critter from another planet… -Twinkle

Monday Mischief: floss the boredom

Image

Hi. It’s me, Vanilla Bean. Some humans thought that I looked really cute with what I wore last February 25… so they asked my overseer to make their pets that Reversible Aqua/Floral dog vest. While she’s on it, I waited patiently for half an hour.. then, boredom happened… (I always lie on the end of her craft table nearest to the window to signal my need for mental/physical activity…)

*yawn*...I'm not sleepy just bored...

After another five minutes, I yawned at her but she ignored me; she continued to play with her scissors… ahh… what’s a pup gotta do?

Think VB...think...how to be productive while waiting for snack-break...hmmm

Maybe I'll just floss while waiting...where's the tail-end of this thread?

ahh so you're done?... biscuit-break at last! my teeth are so ready for the nibbles...

Monday Mischief: puppy sensibility

Image

Hi. Its me, Vanilla Bean.

When my overseer told me to stay upstairs one windy day, I obeyed her (that’s what she does when she’s busy…) However, I was so shocked when I checked into her craft corner — fabrics, clothes, and whateveritsname were everywhere on the floor! Really… I got so concerned because I heard the Wind whispered mischief in the air…

It occurred to me…what if the Wind swooped up all these stuff out of the window… I would be accountable… So, I prepared for the worst case scenario and brought in my collection of beef-bones. I carefully put them on fabrics here and there… I was so occupied that I didn’t notice her at the door…

…and I explained what went on while she’s gone…
…and told her how the silly bear moved 2 meters away from its original place… yep, I tried to remove the balloon but it’s stuck to its white head…

Monday Mischief: princess charcoal

Image

Hi. Keanna here reporting for the Monday Mischief. (This post would’ve been posted earlier if not for Cassie’s recent mild Mastitis.)

We had occasional rain-showers for the past week; so we’re glad when the sun decided to show up last Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The sun shone brightly and gave us a temperature of 31°C… which means our humans had an opportunity excuse for  grooming us pooches. Big momma gave Princess a thorough bath, she scrubbed her until her coat was white as cotton… that was last Saturday…

Early Sunday morning, this greeted Twinkle…

Our overseer didn’t show any reaction at all (not a good sign!…); it seemed she barely notice some details because she was busy collecting our food bowls and preparing our breakfast… and Princess relaxed…(she thought she could successfully get away from a sound ear-bashing…)

However after breakfast, Twinkle saw a rare sight — me so clean and smell so nice while Cassie… well, she had soot on her limbs…

…then, Twinkle saw a movement in her peripheral vision… she turned her head toward this… a dirty pooch scratching like crazy… Still, she gave no reaction… (definitely not a very good sign!)

Later that morning…

…Princess was soooo busted!… Twinkle caught her sneaking near the source of soot  in the storage area…  I told her to stay away from that box of charcoal but she didn’t listen…

Snoopy's Dog BlogTwinkle threatened her another thorough bath… but the DogAngel helped the pooch and caused the rain clouds to drizzle… again…

Mischief Monday: chained

Image

Hi. It’s me, Vanilla Bean.

I’ve never set foot inside a beauty shop but I often imagine these scenes in my mind: A lady goes in there; an attendant puts a chain-leash on the lady’s neck; trim/shampoo/hair-massage/ rinse/towel-dry/brushing plus nice talk would commence; attendant removes the chain-leash after the lady pays; and the lady goes out of the beauty shop with a new hair cut. Then, she goes home and does this:

…yep, the one in the photo is my mischievous overseer… and she’s enjoying MY bath… (I like the shampoo and massage but I DON’T dare show it in my face as long as I haven’t figure out why a chain-leash is necessary in my grooming…)

I’m thinking of having a natural dog bath instead of this complicated routine… (Keanna recommends mud or sand… but how to pull it off without being detected… hmmn…)

Anyway, I’m just glad that my overseer doesn’t own a hair-dryer… and she lets me enjoy my sunbathing unleashed… This way, I could plan my next mischief in peace…Snoopy's Dog Blog

Monday Mischief: the usual suspects

Image

Hi, Keanna here reporting for the Monday Mischief.

Our sala and kitchen are the most traffic areas in early mornings (especially in school days). With at least 4 humans moving about, it’s next to impossible to pull some mischief there without being caught. However, thanks to Snoopy’s Master Class Series, a certain house-pet was able to get away with mischief by applying rules no.4 [get a good accomplice] and no.5 [never plead guilty]. She asked me not to reveal her identity in exchange for her beef-bone heheh…

Application of Snoopy’s Mischief Rule no. 4

When Cassie managed to open the sliding door, the rest of us pets got inside the house. As usual, we headed straight to the kitchen and greeted our overseer with morning kisses and wags. Twinkle was so preoccupied with us and our breakfast meal preparation that she failed to notice the mischief happening at the sala. After serving our breakfast, she spotted this…

someone did a pee break at the sala floor

Application of Snoopy’s Mischief Rule no.5

Since Cassie and I never left her side from the kitchen to our crate, Twinkle went after the usual suspects – the ShihPoos…

suspect no.1

suspect no.2

Snoopy's Dog BlogBoth unleashed pets were outside the house for the night doing guard detail. So, who do you think intentionally wet the floor?

Monday Mischief: pups’ play

Image

Hi. its me Vanilla Bean.

Among the ShihPoo litter, the 2 cute brothers keep mum-Princess very busy. I often notice that she gives the puppy Uggie more nips than his litter-mates (that’s what she did to me when I was their age). However, I observe that brother Ben Stillah is more mischievous than Uggie… but he seems to get away from mum’s nipping…

See these promising little mischief makers in action. Here’s the video:

Monday Mischief: pup-tegee

Image

Before I proceed…Happy Chinese new year to ya! … my ancestors originated from China… so even if i’m only part Shih-Tzu, greeting every one for a prosperous year is good thing to do…

Hi. It’s me, Vanilla Bean. I’m no mischievous pup today cuz I’m preoccupied. Aside from my guard detail, I’m also doing some part-time puppy-sitting to the first batch of squeeker-pups. So, let me introduce to ya my pup-tegees…

This is Ben Stillah aka Snowflake… and yep.. that’s him doing some climbing over the crate division. Ya see… the ability to pull yar weight using yar limbs is a necessary skill for future escape artistsyoung ShihPoos …

presenting to ya... 1 month old Ben Stillah

Ben is the pup#1 ‘cuz he got out first. And among the litter, he is the pup more like me… ya know… curious to explore the big wide world…

meet team cream- squeekies: Ben and lil Madie

Ben and lil Madie have similar coat color. (pup#5 is a girl. She’s the last one out from mum-Princess) … in doubt, I always look at the nose; Ben has pink patches on his nose while lil Madie has a black nose…

meet team truffles: Heart, Uggie (background) and Waffles

This bunch is noisier, more active and curious than the plain coated pups…Uggie, the fattest and cleverest pup in the litter, is the leader of this team. His sisters Heart and Waffles always follow his mischievous pursuits lead…

pup#4 is called Heart because of that heart-patch above her left hind leg...

…they are just 1 month old…but they are promising mischief makers… ;-)

Monday Mischief: messy eaters

Image

Hi. It’s me, Vanilla Bean.

Dark clouds and occasional rain showers made our internet slow as a turtle last Saturday… tropical depression or something cancelled my walks, too. But the real reason I was unable to post something was… big momma banned me inside the house because I soiled the furniture on purpose.  :-( (my overseer won’t allow the photos posted… to eyyyewwww.)

Twinkle remarked that I was “jelly belly” (that’s her description for someone experiencing a a mild jealousy thing)… me jealous?!… hmpf… Well what to do, their attention were on those furballs… I got away this morning at the slightest opening of the gate (without my collar!) but Kenji caught up with me before I got to the end of the block…aggh

"bad doggy," Kenji told me as he carried me back home...

Meanwhile, Twinkle gave porridge to the squeeker-pups for breakfast; they looked funny with their messy fur and faces…

what ‘dya mean I look the same last year?… ohh yeah…maybe….

my proud dad-Butchok looks on while mum-Princess cleans up the litter...

Still photos say much… but I thought their first milky-porridgeexperience is better in video…

Monday Mischief: hairy houdini2

Image

Hi, Keanna here for my Monday Mischief report. It’s too juicy to keep the mischievousness pups-play in our territory all to myself. So, I would try to give you a paw-by-paw account about what happened yesterday… ;-)

Anyway, you may have some heard people quoting the words from the great Indian leader named Mahatma Gandhi:

Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will. – (Mahatma Gandhi)

…yes?… Time and again, some humans still tend to underestimate a small dog’s will and  its capacity to destruction on the issue of confinement… I guess they needed reminders that most little dogs (with Mischief for middle names) are smart and strong, too… Some could handle confinement gracefully while others, like Vanilla Bean, turned into a Hairy Houdini in a matter of seconds…

an apologetic early morning greeting to Twinkle

Last year, Vanilla Bean staged her first “prison break” when she was around 3 months old… This year, she did it again… but with a different approach – a battering dawg style. I’m an escape artist myself but I must admit that I didn’t do what she did…

You see…Twinkle intentionally put her in the right side of the twin-crate last night to protect her from me and Cassie. (Why? Princess will tell you on Thursday…) However, with all the excitement in the air, the barking and the noise… this pet could not contain herself that she staged a sequel to her great escape.

Vanilla Bean managed to break the lower hinge of the right-crate door by using her own body as a battering dawg! (ruff…ruff… that vitamins she’s taking must be very good…) how many times she banged herself for that hinge to break? well… she’s not telling… but I guessed that a series of repeating friction using her body mass plus momentum eventually breached that door. When she heard the ‘crack’ sound, she squeezed herself out like a cat and barked “freedom” as she ran toward the porch… Thus, her “prison break 2″ became history…

thanks for the forgiveness...i won't destroy the other door...for now

So, pets take heed… when you did something classified as M (mischief), DON’T ever forget to put on your sorry faces…heheh ;-)  So, bye for now because I’m going to the blog hop and check on what fun the other mischief makers are into…
